Dear Customers

The number of people infected with the COVID-19 virus is continuing to rise around the world and is already impacting many of our customers and markets today or will do in the future.

Meurer is responsible together with its customers in the beverage, food and pharmaceutical industries for guaranteeing the basic supply of essential products. In this statement, we would like to underline our ongoing commitment to give our customers the necessary level of support at this difficult time.  In addition, we will provide you with an overview of the measures that we have introduced across the company to minimize the impact on and the risk to our business activities.

This includes the fact that we are proactively and responsibly acting in accordance with the orders, guidelines and recommendations issued by the responsible authorities and institutions in each area in order to guarantee a safe working environment for all employees and business partners. This includes, amongst other things, strict emergency plans, a ban on external visitors to all sites, the segregation of workplaces and working hours, the increased use of workstations at home and ongoing training courses and daily communication with all employees on protecting themselves effectively from infection.


Production and deliveries

Based on the latest information, we do not anticipate any negative impact on our delivery capacity in the near future. We proactively introduced a number of safety measures at an early stage, e.g. stockpiling of components, introduction of more flexible working hours, segregation of the shift system, etc., so that our production sites are currently able to continue to operate without any restrictions and thus ensure that our deliveries are completed as planned.



Our sales teams are working at flexible workplaces on an alternating basis to reduce the physical contact between them as far as possible. Meetings with external customers are currently only being held in exceptional cases and we are unreservedly observing the guidelines and recommendations issued by the authorities. In general, you can still reach our internal and external sales representatives by telephone, email, Skype, MS Teams or other digital solutions.



Our service teams are still available to assist you as required and provide you with the best possible support at all times, subject to the existing travel restrictions. In this context, our Service Department will provide you with a solution in each individual case, e.g. via remote service or our service hubs in the different regions. Even if stricter measures are introduced in the future, our service technicians will still be able to provide our customers with the required level of support working from home.
